Donate school supplies, adopt a pet at Aurora Animal Control and Care

AURORA, IL - This fall, Aurora Animal Control and Care is helping to send students back to school and pets to their forever homes with a new adoption special.

From now through Sept. 30 at AACC, donate $5 in school supplies and get a 50-percent discount on adoption fees for your new furry friend.

Adoption fees for a dog or cat are typically $90 and cover initial vaccinations, microchipping, spay or neuter, and city registration tags. With a school supply donation, adoptive families can bring home their new dog or cat for just $45.

All school supplies will be donated to Aurora schools.

Adoption hours are noon to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the facility located at 600 S. River St., Aurora. For information on adoption, including a complete list of requirements, contact (630) 256-3630 or visit www.aurora-il.org/animalcontrol/adoption.php.
