Elitism drives city's golf course plans
The mayor and the Chicago Park District are planning on closing two nice golf courses, South Shore and Jackson Park, which I have played, along with nature preserves, to build a PGA championship course next to the Obama Library in Jackson Park.
This is the most elitist thing I have ever heard of. They want to close two very nice courses that people can play at a reasonable price and young people can learn the game, so elitists can have a PGA course that might someday get a championship. Big deal, there are plenty of championship courses in the Chicago area.
This course is for Obama, if he ever gets off his exotic vacations and visits Chicago, so he can play after visiting his museum.
How about the $30 million go to hiring more police and to hire kids for their first job?
