School library grants for two Palatine-area districts

Republican state Rep. Tom Morrison of Palatine announced Wednesday that $17,637 in school library grant money has been approved for two districts within the 54th House District he serves.

Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 will receive $8,725 and $8,912 will go to Palatine Township Elementary District 15, through the School District Library Grant Program that is designed to help provide more library books and materials for students attending public schools in Illinois.

"Print and digital reading materials are an incredibly important element of teaching and learning," Morrison said in an announcement of the grants.
