Bartlett man charged with spitting on paramedic
Police on Monday arrested a 40-year-old Bartlett resident on a warrant for aggravated battery issued in October, after the man was accused of spitting on a firefighter/paramedic performing his duties in an ambulance.
Nicholas W. Crissie was issued a $25,000 bond at his hearing. His next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 1, at the DuPage County court facility in Wheaton.
According to Bartlett police, officers were sent to a townhouse on Columbia Circle at about 5 p.m. Oct. 13 to assist the Bartlett Fire Protection District.
Crissie had reportedly spit on the paramedic before his transport to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
Bartlett police obtained a warrant for Crissie's arrest two days later.
