Long Grove village board meeting at brewery tonight

Long Grove village board members will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at Buffalo Creek Brewing, 360 Historical Lane. All of Long Grove's homeowner association presidents have been invited to the session to hear a presentation from Village President Bill Jacob with updates on economic development, the historic downtown business district, finances, a contract for service from the Lake County sheriff's office and other issues. There also will be a question-and-answer session. Officials said they wanted the meeting in the craft brewery's taproom to foster a casual atmosphere and discussion. The meeting is open to anyone.
