Free workshop for homeowner associations

The Lake County Stormwater Management Commission is hosting a free workshop at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the county's Central Permit Facility, 500 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville. The event is for associations and property owners responsible for maintaining detention ponds, wetlands, and natural areas. The goal is to increase understanding of subdivision stormwater features and maintenance needs, flood prevention, and other environmental issues, and to provide resources. Grants and funding opportunities also will be discussed. In-person attendance is limited to 50 participants but attendees can join virtually through Zoom.
