Schaumburg library hosts creative fall workshops

Fun and creative workshops are coming to the Schaumburg Township Library and its Hanover Park Branch this fall.

Each requires registration and a fee. Call (847) 923-3347.

"Fall Container Garden" will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the Rasmussen Room of the Central Library in Schaumburg.

Participants will plant a variety of autumn-hued botanicals in an outdoor container. The fee is $20.

"Friendly Gnome Ceramics" will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11, at the Central Library.

Participants will dry-brush a friendly-looking gnome holding a sign reading "Welcome, friends." The fee is $15.

"Hand-painted Terra Cotta Planter" will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at the Hanover Park Branch Library, 1266 Irving Park Road. The fee is $15.
