Holiday help for Hanover Township families

Hanover Township families facing financial hardship can now apply for the annual December holiday sponsor-a-family and toy drive programs.

Applications will be accepted on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Astor Avenue Community Center, 7431 Astor Ave. in Hanover Park. Residents must be signed in by 10:30 a.m. to guarantee an appointment.

Applications will be accepted through Dec. 20.

Required documents for the application process include: valid ID, utility bill dated within the last 30 days, birth certificate for children 0-15 years old or medical card, proof of income covering the last 30 days prior to the date of the application.
