Elgin police arrest teen in connection with threat against Elgin High
Elgin police have arrested another student who made a threat against their school Tuesday night, officials said.
According to a message posted on their Facebook page, the Elgin Police Department was made aware of a threat targeting Elgin High School about a shooting that was supposed to happen on Wednesday.
Elgin police said they arrested the 16-year-old responsible for the threat.
On Monday, police discovered a threat made against Larkin High School.
"We appreciate those in the community who are reporting these threats," Chief Jeffrey Swoboda said in a statement. "Kids really need to understand there are consequences for the disruption and fear they are causing."
