Softball: Schaumburg falls to Lake Park

Lake Park jumped ahead 7-0 and never looked back in its 13-4 win over host Schaumburg in nonconference softball action on Friday.

The Saxons had 5 hits, led by the 2-for-2 performance from senior Tiffani Rudnick, who had a double and scored a run.

Also hitting safely for the Saxons (0-2) were freshman Morgan Miller, junior Talia Torosian and junior Nikki Kolodziej.

The Saxons, who made only 1 error on Friday, return to action on Saturday when they visit Mundelein at 11 a.m.
