Letter: The importance of volunteering

When people ask me why I volunteer, the answer is simple, I've always enjoyed helping others and being a part of my community. I enjoy knowing that there are things that I can do to make the world a better place than I found it.

I have volunteered with Frontier Days for more than 15 years now. I continue to volunteer because I enjoy seeing children and families smile after getting off the Merry-Go-Round or seeing the Pet Parade.

I enjoy seeing friends and families come together to watch a free concert. Frontier Days needs volunteers to continue providing this experience for another 45 years to come.

There is a General Meeting for Frontier Days on Thursday, June 16, at 7:30 p.m. at the Arlington Ridge Center. Please consider attending and learning how you can contribute to your community.
