Police seek suspect in Waukegan armed robbery

Police are looking for a man they say robbed a Waukegan liquor store at gunpoint Monday.

An employee at Derby Liquors in the 2800 block of Washington Street told officers a man robbed the store about 9:30 p.m. and left on foot, according to a news release from the Waukegan Police Department on Tuesday.

The suspect, who has been described as a 6-foot-tall, 180-pound black man, reportedly entered the store, showed a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money.
