The missing numbers

Even in your respected newspaper we are fed scare numbers with nothing to compare them to: 45,000 hospitalized today in the whole country, 9 million confirmed cases and so on. Why do we not hear how many had become well and were sent home from the hospital today? Why don't we hear how many of the 9 million never even knew they had the COVID flu or how many really became sick from it? Numbers are meaningless if you have nothing relevant to compare them to. How many are in "a lot"?
