5 things you may not know about Geneva Early Learning Program
Geneva Unit District 304's preschool, the Geneva Early Learning Program, is now accepting 3- and 4-year-olds for the 2019-20 school year!
Here are 5 facts you may not know about the program:
1. The inclusive preschool community for residents of Geneva 304 is about to celebrate the start of its third school year.
2. The preschool is nestled in our very own Fabyan Elementary School - call to come by for a tour and to meet the staff!
3. The program offers a full continuum of services for children who are typically developing, as well as those who have identified disabilities.
4. All teachers have a bachelor's or master's degree, and each holds a professional educator license with the Illinois State Board of Education with endorsements in either early childhood and/or special education and/or English as a Second Language.
5. Every classroom has a full-time instructional assistant who is a licensed paraprofessional.
"Preschool is a critical first experience in our children's education," says Program Director Mary Anne Bjork. "We look forward to welcoming children to the program and supporting them in this next step in their developmental journey."
