Hoffman Estates' Main Event ribbon-cutting Aug. 30

The Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host a ribbon-cutting celebration at noon Tuesday, Aug. 30, for the new Main Event family entertainment center at 2575 Pratum Ave.

The 49,000-square-foot building next to the Sears Centre Arena includes space for 22 bowling lanes, laser tag, a ropes course, billiards and more than 100 different video games.

Through Hoffman Estates' 6 percent entertainment tax, the new business is expected to generate more than $250,000 annually in entertainment taxes for the village.
