Bruce Springsteen, arguably the king of heartland rock, has captured the struggle and spirit of the everyman since taking the stage with his hard-driving flavor of music in the early '70s. His outspoken yet pensive rock, equally perfect for a night around a campfire with friends or driving along a lonely stretch of highway, has undoubtedly influenced many musicians along the way.
