Endorsement: Brandes for Lindenhurst village board

The residents of Lindenhurst have four choices to fill three seats in the April election.

Incumbents Bill Anderson, Patty Chybowski and Dawn Suchy are all seeking four more years in office. They are challenged by Ryan Brandes.

Brandes works for the Lake County Housing Authority and currently serves on the Lindenhurst Environmental Commission.

He would like to bring more new businesses to town and make sure that all neighborhoods are part of the village government process.

Brandes is motivated to give back to his community, and we appreciate his desire to join the village board.

Anderson, Chybowski and Suchy could not participate in interviews with our editorial board and did not provide detailed answers to a Daily Herald questionnaire, so they cannot be endorsed.

We're comfortable endorsing Brandes to fill one of the vacant seats. We hope at least some of the incumbents provide enough information to Lindenhurst voters to help them make choices they can be comfortable with for the remaining seats.
