Need more like him
Keith Brin, circuit court clerk for Lake County, is the complete elected official: smart, due diligent, strongly credentialed and personable. But most importantly, he never forgets that he was elected by the people and his allegiance to his base is extremely noteworthy.
We are very lucky to have him as an elected official who truly believes in serving our community.
My daughter and I had the experience of needing a resolution to a problem with a passport. Keith immediately responded with some valuable advice and the options open to our resolving the problem quickly and easily so our vacation plans weren't disrupted. Time was of the essence. But with Keith's assistance, we were able to make our deadlines and have a wonderful vacation.
He even followed up to see how everything worked out.
And Keith is very committed to hands-on community service, enthusiastically supporting Honor Flight-Chicago, and he advocates his and his office's involvement in the USO, Northern Illinois Food Bank, Make-A-Wish Illinois, and NICASA among others.
Also he is an amazingly well rounded, strong family man who is a great role model as well, something we sorely need in the public arena.
Keith Brin is a breath of fresh air as an elected official. He says what he is going to do and follows through with much moral integrity.
I wish we had more public servants who espoused the same values. Our cities and towns would be a better place in which to live and a mutual trust would be a major component of the way we run our local government.
I continue to applaud Keith Brin's efforts in office and encourage all of you to support this wonderful elected official on Nov. 8.
