Beware Gov. Pritzker's tax plan

Gov. Pritzker is quoted saying that it is wrong for him to pay the same tax rate as someone earning $100,000. So says the man that pulled the toilets out of his house to reduce his property tax. I guess that was OK until, of course, he got caught doing it.

The Democrats are touting Gov. Pritzker's plan as a middle income tax cut. It should come with the caveat that the $65 windfall should not all be spent in one place.

As we get closer to election time, I'm sure that we will be told about the most vulnerable among us. Please remember that while the politicians are tugging at your heart strings with one hand, they are reaching for your wallet with the other.

We are constantly reminded that we are supposed to pay our fair share. How come the only people that are forced to do with less are the taxpayers? Gov. Pritzker, if you want more money from me, you are going to have to reduce spending. I also don't believe that, if the plan is approved, the tax rates will remain unchanged. It's a matter of when, not if, the rates go up.

I am voting no.
