Wauconda Township recycling

Wauconda Township will host its fourth annual recycling extravaganza Saturday, June 4, 9 a.m. to noon at 505 W. Bonner Road, Wauconda. The event is open only to Wauconda Township residents in the villages of Wauconda, Island Lake, Port Barrington, Lakemoor, Volo and unincorporated Lake County. Items accepted for recycling include: electronics, cellphones, bicycles, batteries, propane tanks (20-40 pounds), prescription drugs, shoes (no ice skates or inline skates). Document shredding is available. Items not accepted are furniture, paint, gas and large appliances.
