South Elgin seeks driver of vehicle that hit toddler

South Elgin police are looking for the driver who struck a 2-year-old child Thursday night near La Fox Street (Route 31) and Sundown Road.

The child was treated at Amita St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin for minor injuries, according to police.

The incident happened at about 6:30 p.m. The vehicle was described as a white SUV.
