Boys soccer: Dundee-Crown picks up 1st win

Roland Dearborn scored off an assist from Ivan Aviles in the second half Thursday as Dundee-Crown's boys soccer team defeated Round Lake 1-0 at the Lake Forest Shootout.

Damian Smiech made 2 saves in goal for the Chargers (1-1).

Crystal Lake South 1, Streamwood 0: The Gators won their third straight without a loss as Jack Wruck scored unassisted in the first half of this nonconference game. Matt McCaleb had 5 saves in goal for CLS as did Hector Alfaro for Streamwood (1-1).

St. Edward 7, Marian Central 0: Uriel Carachure, Josh Johansen, Jackson Godfrey, Karol Kociewski, Carson Scarnegie, Zach Olenek and Chris Riedle each scored for St. Edward in its nonconference win. Tyler Brieger had 3 assists while Johansen and Carachure added 2 each. Evan Sajtar was in goal for the Green Wave (1-0) but went untested.
