New crepe restaurant opens in Prospect Heights

Sweet & Savory Crepe Cafe is having a grand opening Saturday, Feb. 24, at its location in the Prospect Crossing Shopping Center, 1285 N. Rand Road.

The breakfast and lunch restaurant specializes in crepes, including peanut butter and jelly, cheesecake, turkey and even hot dog. Owners Gregor Cembala and Monika Ambicka will also serve up coffee, tea and smoothies.

The opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Nick Helmer will be at noon Saturday.
