Dahl easily wins Kane County District 6 race

When Brian Dahl joined the Kane County Board in July 2015, it was to fill a vacancy created by a midterm departure of a fellow Democrat. With his victory Tuesday, Dahl now has four years to make the District 6 seat his own.

Unofficial results show Dahl defeating Republican Donald Baltzer with all 14 precincts reporting. Dahl received 2,958 votes compared to 1,057 votes for Baltzer. That was good enough for Dahl to walk away with 74 percent of the vote thanks to strong support in the Aurora portion of the district.

Baltzer was absent for much of the campaign. He didn't respond to multiple requests for interviews or candidate profile information.
