President's legacy of 'us' and 'them'

Immediately after the Mueller Report came out, instead of trying to unite the American people, the president instead felt it was important to hold one of his Trump Self Aggrandizement Rallies. It alarmed me how he, as president, kept referring to the constituents he was elected to serve as "us" and "them." We are no longer "we," like right after 9/11, but are now reduced to "us" and "them." Even more alarming was how his followers seemed to giddily rejoice in that.

During his Ego Stroking Rally, when he should be trying to unite us, he instead continuously spoke of the "radical left" versus the "Republican Party," as if there is no one in the middle who would like to work together. It serves him to keep us divided into "us" and "them." That's all he cares about, his fragile ego.

Thanks, Mr. "President." The great unifier and deal maker. As long as it benefits you at the expense of dividing us into "us" and them," that's all that matters, I guess. Long after the country has survived this period, as the framers designed it so, "Us" and "them" will be your great legacy. Sad.
