Let's be honest

Now that the soda tax is repealed, the truth comes out. They tried to scare and fool the public into thinking that the "soda tax" was in place to protect the children. It was nothing more than to make more money for them. Why can't they just be honest and say they want to again tax the public for spending more than they have?
