Barrington's Relay For Life another big success
The Barrington chapter of the American Center Society's Relay For Life hosted their signature fundraising event at Barrington High School Friday night for the 19th year.
Cancer survivors, their families and others affected by the disease come together every year to walk, run and camp out around the running track.
This year featured performances from the Barrington Idol finalists, Bataille Academie of the Dance and the Barrington Children's Choir.
The Barrington event is always one of the biggest in Illinois. Last year, they raised the 11th highest total in the state, all the more impressive because there were 165 Relay For Life events in Illinois in 2015.
In its history, Relay For Life of Barrington has raised $4.7 million for cancer research and prevention programs but also for services for patients and their families in Barrington.
