Buffalo Grove police share scary realities of impaired driving

This Halloween, the Buffalo Grove Police Department is cracking down on impaired drivers with an aggressive Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement effort, and authorities are giving fair warning to partygoers to keep the party off the road.

"Driving while alcohol or drug impaired is deadly, it is illegal, and it will get you pulled over and arrested this Halloween," said Sgt. Michelle Kondrat.

The law enforcement crackdown is made possible by federal traffic safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation and runs Friday, Oct. 27, through Tuesday, Oct. 31.
