Conference of Women Legislators scholarship deadline extended

The Conference of Women Legislators has extended its scholarship deadline to Friday, May 1.

The nonprofit, bipartisan organization of current and former female legislators offers up to 10 scholarships to women age 25 and older who are looking to begin or complete their educations. The one-year undergraduate scholarship of up to $2,500 may be used toward tuition, books and fees for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Eligible students must plan to attend an accredited school in Illinois with at least six credit hours of classes, whether online or on campus.

To apply, visit COWLIL.com and submit an essay and a transcript by midnight May 1. Awardees will be notified by June 1 and must provide official transcripts before scholarship funds will be released.
