Kids and money management in Des Plaines

Alliant Credit Union Foundation and the Des Plaines Community Foundation are hosting a workshop called "The Basics of Saving and Money Management for Kids" on Wednesday, May 31. It'll run from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at Friendship Park Conservatory, 395 W. Algonquin Road. The event is geared toward children ages 7-11 and will include a financial literacy game and raffle for a chance to win episodes of "Biz Kid$" on DVD and Jean Chatzky's book, "Money Rules."
