The Latest: Judge wants more information in Cosby case

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Latest on an effort by lawyers for Bill Cosby seeking the dismissal of a defamation case by model Janice Dickinson (all times local):

9:15 a.m.

A judge has ordered lawyers to provide more information as attorneys for Bill Cosby seek the dismissal of a defamation lawsuit filed against the comedian by model Janice Dickinson in Los Angeles.

Superior Court Judge Debre Katz Weintraub on Monday delayed ruling on the motion until March 29.

The comedian's attorneys want the case to be dismissed because they say Dickinson has given differing accounts of her interactions with Cosby over the years.

Dickinson claims Cosby raped her in 1982 and that his former attorney wrote letters to news outlets denying her claims and implying they could be sued if they used them in stories.

The attorney has branded the model and reality television star a liar.

Cosby also denied allegations. Dickinson sued for defamation after the criminal statute of limitations expired.

A judge is scheduled to consider Monday whether to dismiss model Janice Dickinson's defamation lawsuit against Bill Cosby.

The comedian's attorneys want Dickinson's case to be dismissed because they say Dickinson has given differing accounts of her interactions with Cosby over the years.

Dickinson sued Cosby in May over his denial of her claims that he drugged and raped her in Lake Tahoe in 1982. She says she tried to include the story in a 2002 memoir, but her publisher refused.

Cosby's former attorney has denied her claims and branded the model and reality television star a liar.

Dickinson's suit states the denial caused her to feel re-victimized about the incident.

Dozens of women have accused Cosby of sexual abuse, but in most instances the statutes of limitations have passed.
