Toastique gourmet coffee bar makes Illinois debut Saturday at Deer Park Town Center

Toastique, a gourmet toast, juice and coffee bar, will open its first Chicago-area and Illinois location Saturday at the Deer Park Town Center.

The eatery is at 20530 N. Rand Road, Suite 444, just south of Long Grove Road.

Described as fast casual in a modern cafe setting, Toastique’s menu includes “innovative” toasts, superfood bowls and smoothies, cold-pressed juices, a coffee and espresso selection and other health-focused dishes.

Recipes are made in-house with premium ingredients that are locally sourced when possible, without artificial additives or added sugars, according to a news release.

Former collegiate cheerleader Brianna Keefe created the coffee bar concept to make healthy eating approachable, accessible, and enjoyable for all, the release said.

Keefe opened the first location at the Wharf in Washington, D.C., in 2018, and the brand began franchising in 2020.

Entry into the Chicago-area market is a pivotal moment for the brand, which now has more than 60 locations in more than 25 states, according to the release.

The Deer Park store will be owned and operated by local franchisees Sunny Puri, Romi Puri and Angad Johar. It will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

The namesake line of toasts features sweet and savory varieties such as Avocado Smash, Smoked Salmon and PB Crunch.

“By bringing Toastique into the Chicago market, we are filling a much-needed gap locally for high-quality food, available all day long, that blends bold flavor and nutrition,” said Sunny Puri.

The first 100 people in line from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday will receive $50 in Toastique rewards dollars with any toast purchase, which can be used at future visits. Others will receive a free drip coffee or small juice with any $10 purchase. Giveaways will continue all week.
