Woman dies after being found at lake in Busse Woods

An unidentified woman found unresponsive Thursday afternoon near the main pool of Busse Lake has died, a spokesperson from the Forest Preserves of Cook County said.

An Elk Grove Village Fire Department crew responded to a 911 call about 1:45 p.m. Thursday and found the woman unresponsive.

She was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead, according to a forest preserve spokesperson.

Forest Preserves of Cook County police continue to investigate.
