Halloween meets Mother Nature in Schaumburg
Some Halloween events focus on the supernatural, but this weekend at the Schaumburg Park District’s Heritage Farm at Spring Valley, it was all about being in nature.
The historical farm hosted its annual Tricks & Treats in the Valley event, drawing dozens of families to experience the Halloween tradition in a pastoral setting.

Kids donned their costumes for an early tryout as they walked through woods and fields along the farm’s half-mile trail, picking up treats from costumed volunteers along the way.
