St. Charles Lou Malnati’s location set to open Oct. 27

Lou Malnati’s new St. Charles location will be opening on Oct. 27, the restaurant chain announced recently.

Located at 3050 E. Main St., the restaurant is setting up in a long-vacant restaurant space in an outlot of the new Fox Haven Square development near the northeast corner of Kirk Road and East Main Street on the east side of St. Charles.

The location is set to employ around 100 people and will feature a full-service dining room and bar, private dining room, carryout, delivery and catering service, a news release from Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria said.

“The St. Charles restaurant represents an exciting milestone in our continued Chicagoland growth,” Julie Younglove-Webb, CEO of Lou Malnati’s, said in the news release about the planned opening. “We look forward to putting down roots in St. Charles, building lasting relationships and becoming a trusted part of the community for years to come.”

Fox Haven Square is a development project in St. Charles expected to bring a number of businesses to the city’s east side, occupying what was a vacant lot. The $22 million project is being spearheaded by Greco Investment Management, LLC, and is set to house things like restaurants and a pickleball facility.

The new Lou Malnati’s restaurant is technically separate from the Fox Haven Square project, but is under the same ownership and sits just next door.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Lou Malnati’s to Fox Haven Square and see this highly anticipated addition open its doors,” Pat Greco, president of G Ninety Family Partners, said in the release. “Lou’s is an iconic Chicago brand, and we believe the restaurant will be a tremendous addition to both the development and the St. Charles community.”

At the new location, customers can partake in the full Lou Malnati’s menu: its signature Chicago-style deep dish pizza, as well as thin crust pizza, gluten-free options, appetizers, salads, pastas and desserts, the news release from Lou Malnati’s said.

The restaurant also worked with the St. Charles History Museum to incorporate historic photographs and local storytelling throughout the space, the news release stated. Its design also features family photographs, pizza-pan-inspired decor and reference to the Malnati family’s legacy and Chicago roots.
