Endorsements ignore state’s poor record

Is it progress that the Daily Herald was able on Tuesday to hold its nose and endorse one Republican in eight state Senate and House districts? And to rely on “legislative experience “ as a positive in the worst-run state in history reveals a more-of-the-same attitude that is frankly stupid.

Illinois has the highest property tax burden in the country, some of the worst schools and a population and wealth out-migration that is top three. And what informs your publication to endorse this pathetic record and endorse those responsible for the decline - bias or stupidity? Either does such a disservice to your readers.
