Donald Trump doesn't care about us

We have a president whose actions have harmed the vast majority of Americans. Everything costs more now: food, gasoline, clothing, building materials, diesel fuel, appliances, energy and just about everything people need. Donald Trump has clearly shown us that he doesn’t care about Americans' lives as long as his wealth grows and he can continue to build monuments to himself.

Now, because his approval rating is at an all-time low, he is afraid of losing his unfettered power if the Democrats are successful in the November elections. He is attempting to bribe citizens into voting for his preferred candidates by offering $5,000 to every adult citizen if Republicans stay in power. He has no power to issue checks like that, the cost would be more than $1 trillion and it's just the latest of several empty promises of payments to Americans.

This is not the U.S. I grew up knowing for over 70 years. Attempted bribery by our president?

Our votes have great power, but only if you make your voice heard at the ballot box. If you truly value freedom, our democratic republic, and the opportunity to achieve a better life for yourself and your children, you must reject the complicit Republicans who have only enabled Trump in his destruction of our nation. We are now poorer, less safe, more isolated and untrusted by our former allies around the world.

Consider the future and vote thoughtfully in November.
