Coroner identifies woman found dead after house fire in Kane County

The Kane County Coroner has identified the woman found dead Friday following a house fire in unincorporated Kane County as Jeanette Konstanzer, 54.

Fire personnel located her inside the garage of the home on the 43W500 block of Otter Lane in the Lily Lake area.

The coroner’s office conducted an autopsy Wednesday and sent toxicology samples to a national forensic laboratory for analysis. Initial autopsy results list the preliminary cause of death as pending toxicology.

A news release from the coroner’s office said the circumstances surrounding the cause and manner of the woman’s death are under investigation by the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, the Kane County Fire Investigation Task Force, the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office and the coroner.
