Applications available for Hanover Township holiday programs

Hanover Township families can now apply online for the annual December holiday sponsor-a-family and toy drive programs.

Residents can visit hanover-township.org to complete an application in English or in Spanish. Applications will be accepted online through Dec. 5 and in person at the Astor Avenue Community Center, 7431 Astor Ave. in Hanover Park, through Dec. 11.

Required documents include a valid ID, a utility bill or piece of mail dated within the last 30 days, birth certificates for children 0-15 years old or a medical card showing the child’s name and birth date, and proof of income covering the last 30 days.

Those wishing to sponsor a family can call (630) 540-9085 or email holidays@hanover-township.org.

Donations of new, unwrapped toys can also be dropped off at any township office.
