Glen Ellyn police investigating after gunfire strikes home

Glen Ellyn police are searching for suspects in connection with a shooting early Saturday morning that damaged a home.

Officers responded to the area of Tanglewood and Woodview drives at about 12:30 a.m. after receiving a report of gun shots heard about 15 minutes before, police said.

Officers found evidence confirming there was a shooting, but could not locate suspects, officials said.

One residence on Tanglewood was struck by bullets, but no injuries were reported, police said. Additional evidence was gathered from residential security cameras and doorbell cameras.

Police said they believe the shooting to be an isolated event.

The police department is asking residents in the area to check their security cameras for any people, vehicles or activity that may be linked to the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 to ask for an officer and make a report.
