Glenbard North Theatre to stage children’s classic ‘The Rainbow Fish’

Glenbard North Theatre will present its fall studio production, “The Rainbow Fish,” adapted by Austin Zumbro, from the original children’s book written and illustrated by Marcus Pfister, and translated by J. Alison James.

As stated on Pioneer Drama, “With shiny, multicolored scales, Rainbow Fish is the most beautiful fish in all of the ocean, and the only one of her kind. When Rainbow Fish refuses to share her vibrant, shimmering scales, the whole ocean seems to turn against the vain creature. Unhappy that no one adores her anymore, the Rainbow Fish seeks out the wise Octopus, who helps her learn that it’s far better to be admired for being kind than for being beautiful.”

“The Rainbow Fish” will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 15-17, in Livingston Auditorium at Glenbard North High School, 990 N. Kuhn Road in Carol Stream.

The cast features Tiffany Le, Kylin Mitic, Bella Pischetola, Mia Santos, Ava Giolli and Kylie Stadler.

Tickets are $5, available at the door, at 630-653-7000, ext. 3820, or at glenbardnorthhs.seatyourself.biz.
