Scout-run Haunted Hollow returns to Rosemont Oct. 23-24

Dare to step into the Haunted Hollow? Takhone Lodge #7 of Scouting America’s annual haunted house is back from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23-24, at 9201 W. Higgins Road in Rosemont.

This year, with the twisted stories of the Brothers Grimm. An approximately 45-minute haunted experience filled with scares, creatures, and surprises awaits you if you dare to take on the Haunted Hollow.

Haunted Hollow is Takhone Lodge #7’s largest annual fundraiser. Proceeds support local Scouting programs, including council camps and other scouting activities. What makes the event special is that it is planned, ran and managed entirely by youth in Scouting America’s Order of the Arrow program.

New this year is: Hoedown at the Hollow is a family-friendly daytime event designed for children ages 4 to 10 from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. The $19.65 admission includes five activities of your choice, including pumpkin decorating, archery, slingshots, ping-pong trebuchet, face painting, and more.

Families also can take a special behind-the-scenes tour through the Haunted Hollow which provides a scare-free way for younger children to experience the haunt.
