GreenMan Theatre bringing ‘Midnight and Moll Flanders’ to Addison venue

GreenMan Theatre Troupe has secured an Addison location for its Nov. 6-15 production of “Midnight and Moll Flanders,” playwright Marie Kohler’s contemporary version of Daniel Defoe’s 1722 novel, “Moll Flanders.”

Directed by Becca Easley, “Midnight and Moll Flanders” tells the story of the notorious Moll Flanders who, on the eve of her hanging at London’s Newgate Prison, spins her extraordinary life story of love, survival, scandal and scheming to a minister determined to save her soul.

The play is a witty, moving journey through gender, class and fortune in 17th -century England. The nine-character cast for GreenMan Theatre’s production of “Midnight and Moll Flanders” is Kimberly Brumirski, Sara Corkery, Eugenia Bouboudakis, James Harding, Noe Cornejo Herrera, Kate Troc, Katharine Graham, Holly Striska and Elizabeth Scott.

GreenMan Theatre’s Addison venue is located at Progressive Athletics, 430 N. Addison Road, Suite 4. This performance site can accommodate up to 60 theatergoers.

“It’s an exclusive space for GreenMan to perform ‘Midnight and Moll Flanders,’” Easley said. “The space will be transformed and customized specifically for the show’s run.”

GreenMan continues its search for a permanent performance space for its Mainstage shows.

Performances will be 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays, Nov. 6-15. General admission tickets, which are $25 or $20 for seniors and students, can be purchased via greenmantheatre.org.
