Kane County Health Department offering free MMR vaccinations through Sept. 25

After two reported measles cases this year, the Kane County Health Department is offering free MMR vaccination regardless of insurance status until Sept. 25.

Unvaccinated residents, those who are not fully vaccinated or anyone unsure of their vaccination status are encouraged to review their immunization records and talk with a healthcare provider about whether they need an MMR vaccine. The KCHD said vaccination is especially important before international travel or travel to an area experiencing a measles outbreak.

The free vaccinations are available by appointment at the KCHD Aurora office, 1240 N. Highland Ave. Call (630) 208-3801 to make an appointment.
