See Gurnee police, fire and public works in action during ‘Training in the Park’ events

Gurnee is partnering with the Gurnee Park District for a series of “Training in the Park” events this month.

The events will feature live demonstrations from the Gurnee Police Department’s K9 Unit, the Gurnee Fire Department and Public Works Department, plus other activities.

Each event begins at 6 p.m. and is free to attend.

They’re scheduled for: Monday, Sept. 21, at Christine Thompson Park, Woodlawn and Belle Plaine avenues; Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Southridge Park, Southridge Drive and Indian Trail Road; Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Hunt Club Park, 900 Hunt Club Road; Monday, Sept. 28, at Vineyard Park, 1500 Vineyard Drive; Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Betty Russell Park, 5300 Pinewood Road; and Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Ravinia Park, 925 Ravinia Drive.
