The Land Conservancy of McHenry County hosts Native Plant Sale Sept. 18-19

The Land Conservancy of McHenry County will have native plants, shrubs and trees available during its in-person fall native plant sale. The sale takes place Friday and Saturday, Sept. 18-19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the McHenry County Fairgrounds, 11900 Country Club Road in Woodstock.

The sale offers a variety of native plants, trees and shrubs and are listed as appropriate for sun, shade or wet areas. They support wildlife, help rain soak into the soil, and add beauty to the landscape. Lists of available plants are posted at ConserveMC.org. The sale will feature some unique and unusual native plants in addition to more common varieties. Knowledgeable staff will be on hand to answer plant questions.

TLC members receive 10% off their orders. A portion of the sales supports TLC’s land preservation work in McHenry County. For more information or advice regarding native plant gardening and restoration, contact Sarah Michehl at smichehl@conservemc.org or call (815) 337-9502.
