Kane County seeks applicants for Ethics Commission vacancy
Kane County is seeking a qualified volunteer to fill a vacancy on a five-member Ethics Commission, which reviews concerns regarding alleged unethical conduct by county board members, the county board chair, and county employees.
The commission investigates complaints, conducts hearings, and makes findings and recommendations regarding disciplinary action or fines when warranted. The position is voluntary and operates under the supervision of the ethics advisor.
Applicants must meet the requirements of the Kane County Ethics Ordinance, including restrictions on familial relationships with elected county officials and political-party representation on the commission.
The open position requires the applicant to be a registered Republican who has voted in recent Republican primaries for the past three years.
Individuals interested in promoting government accountability, transparency and ethical conduct are encouraged to apply by emailing a letter of interest and resume by Sept. 30, 2026 to Jane Tallitsch in the Kane County Board office at Tallitschjane@kanecountyil.gov.
