Response to domestic disturbance call leads to officer-involved shooting in Des Plaines
A male resident was reportedly shot when Des Plaines police officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a house Wednesday afternoon.
The injured person, whose age is not immediately known, has been transported to a local hospital following the officer-involved shooting.
Officials said police responded at about 2:32 p.m to a house on the 2000 block of Touhy Avenue.
The Major Case Assistance Team is investigating and will conduct an impartial third-party review of what happened, authorities said.
