Congregational Church of Batavia offers four-week series on Christian nationalism

The Congregational Church of Batavia presents an adult Christian Education series this fall, beginning with “A Primer on Christian Nationalism: What is it and Why We Should Be Concerned.”

Over four weeks, the Rev. John C. Dorhauer will explain what this movement is, and how it may be a serious threat to democracy. He is the author of “Steeplejacking: How the Christian Right is Hijacking Mainstream Religion,” and has done extensive research on the subject, partnering with investigative journalists and denominational leaders to learn about the movement.

Dorhauer will be presenting this series over four weeks, at 6 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 30 to Oct. 28, except Oct. 14, at the church, 21 S. Batavia. There is no admission fee and all are welcome. For information, contact info@congregationalchurch.org or call (630) 879-1999.
