Volunteers sought to clean Fox River

Geneva’s Natural Resources Committee is seeking volunteers for its Fox River Cleanup Day from 9 a.m. to noon on Sept. 19.

Volunteers will meet in the parking lot south of the windmill at Fabyan Forest Preserve, off Route 25. A second group, for those who prefer to stay on land, will meet at the spillway near the playground at Island Park, 2 E. State St. Garbage bags, water, snacks, washing stations and canoes will be provided.
